Attorney indicated all sales were prohibited in City parks and that he would investigate the <br />second issue. <br /> <br />Also in response to Councilmember Acosta, Planning and Building Agency Executive <br />Director Robyn Uptegraff indicated the pushcart enforcement position would be bi-lingual <br />and that materials would be printed in Spanish and English for distribution to vendors <br />informing them of the changes in the code. <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan, citing the proliferation of fireworks incidents related to the July <br />4th holiday, requested the Public Safety Committee again consider a Citywide ban on <br />fireworks and work with other Orange County cities which still allowed fireworks to <br />encourage institution of similar bans. <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember Richardson, Public Works Agency Executive Director Jim <br />Ross indicated that the scoping process had begun relative to the McFadden-Main Street <br />realignment and that a meeting would be held with neighborhood residents on July 17, 1991 <br />in the Council Chambers to advise them regarding the construction process. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - 7:07 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced the City Council was recessing to Closed Session <br />pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the City Attorney regarding pending <br />litigation which had been initiated formally to which the City was a party, to wit: <br /> <br />Palomino vs. City of Santa <br />Bott vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Brunmeier vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br />Perry vs. City of Santa Aha <br />Cotton vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br /> <br />and pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9Co)(1) regarding pending litigation of significant exposure. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 7:30 P.M. - All Councilmembers present <br />except Councilmember Griset. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 218 JULY 15, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
