Mayor Pro Tem Pulido requested staff begin research on a comprehensive ordinance on <br />motor homes. <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember Richardson's inquiry, the Fire Chief reported the Fire <br />Department would soon begin using signal-preemption devices which allow fire personnel to <br />control traffic signals during emergency runs on First and Fourth Streets. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset expressed concern that the City would be negatively impacted if the <br />City were divided into three Supervisorial Districts as proposed under one of the County's <br />redistricting plans. <br /> <br />Councilmember Norton reported pavement deterioration at the railroad crossing at Bear and <br />Alton Streets. <br /> <br />Mayor Young indicated the railroad crossing at Flower and Alton was also deteriorated. <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested staff investigate the following: <br /> <br />-- Car industry trends resulting from the recent economic downturn <br />-- Controls for temporary/promotional signs including floating balloons <br />-- Removal of graffiti along the train route through Santa Ana <br /> <br />Presentation to the Council as soon as possible regarding the Educational <br />Facilities Program proposed to be funded through a Citywide <br />redevelopment project <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - ROOM 147 - 7:25 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced the City Council was recessing to Closed Session <br />pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the City Attorney regarding pending <br />litigation which had been initiated formally to which the City was a party, to wit: <br /> <br />Bott vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Brezden vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Agamalian vs. City of Santa Aha <br />Villarruel vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br />Czarneski vs. City of Santa (Worker's Compensation) <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1) regarding pending litigation of significant exposure <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54957 to consider personnel matters. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 237 AUGUST 5, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
