Tenth Street, expressed concern that the Residential Rental <br />Property Inspection Program would lead to higher property taxes for property owners. <br /> <br />Kathi Jo Brunning, 2414 N. Spruce, announced that Sub-areas 6 and 7 of the Northwest <br />Neighborhood Association are organizing a "Fourth of July" picnic and sporting event at <br />Alona Park and invited anyone who wanted, to attend. <br /> <br />Florence Leach returned to the podium to announce that Memorial Day Services would be <br />held on May 24, 1992 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairhaven Cemetery's Santa Ana entrance and at <br />5:30 p.m. at the County Administration Hall. <br /> <br />Mike Jolley, 1218 E. Avalon, expressed concern about a letter he received from the City <br />requiring him to pay for a business license for his rental unit. The Mayor Pro Tern referred <br />Mr. Jolley to Finance and Management Services Executive Director Rod Coloma for <br />assistance. <br /> <br />90.C. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember Acosta's inquiry, Public Works Agency Executive Director <br />Jim Ross reported that safety concerns relative to tree-stump grinding work on Bristol and <br />Twenty-second Street had been corrected. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta asked Mr. Ross to investigate a car-towing incident that occurred by <br />the 40th block of West Oakfield, wherein a tree-trimming contractor reportedly failed to post <br />"No Parking" signs on the job site, and to provide the Council with the name of the <br />contractor involved. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINLrr~s 1.~ MAY 18, 1992 <br /> <br /> <br />
