Therefore, the long-term operational air quality impacts associated with the proposed project would be less than significant. Short-ter.m constructed Related Air Quality Impacts Construction operations associated with the proposed project could potentially result in short-term increases in particulate mater, and to a lesser degree increases in carbon monoxide and ozone. Using the South Coast Air Quality Management District CEQA Air Quality Handbook as a guideline, potentially significant short- term air quality impacts could occur when construction operations involve over 1,309,000 square feet of grading. The proposed project would involve approximately 82,022 square feet of grading. This amount of grading would be below the guideline to determine potentially significant short-term air quality impacts. D. Expose Sensitive receptors to substantial pollutant concentrations? Potentially Significant Unless Mitigation Incorporated Even though grading operations associated with the proposed project would result in less than short-term air quality impacts, uncontrolled dust from grading operations could be nuisance to nearby land uses.
