<br />'-' <br /> <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON <br />MAIN STREET DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />April 20, 2005 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting convened at 5:45 p.m. in City Hall, Room 831, 20 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />City Council Committee members present: Council member Claudia Alvarez and <br />Council member Lisa Bist. <br /> <br />Staff members present: City Manager Dave Ream, Community Development Agency <br />Executive Director Patricia C. Whitaker, Planning Manager Jay Trevino, Senior Planner <br />Sergio Klotz, Chief Assistant City Attorney Benjamin Kaufman, Community Preservation <br />Inspector Alvaro Nunez, Sr. Civil Engineer Monica Suter and Redevelopment Assistant, <br />Danell Mercado. <br /> <br />'-' Community members present: None <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - March 30, 2005 <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />The minutes were approved 2:0 <br /> <br />2. PROPOSED CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS <br /> <br />A letter was received by Code Enforcement from a downtown business owner <br />regarding banners, outside signs, etc. to be addressed. A citation will be issued <br />to the Fiesta property on South Main. The billboard at the R.R. track on South <br />Main will be cited for signage nuisance. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />SPURGEON BUILDING <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />Property owner informed Code Enforcement he would comply and complete the <br />improvements in two weeks. Code Enforcement will be scheduling a meeting <br />with him to go over the issues. Pat Whitaker indicated that the building owner is <br />willing to sell and do a joint venture to develop the property. <br />
