REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />JUNE 5, 2006 <br />TITLE: <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH <br />METCALF & EDDY <br />~ ' '~ <br />education 1St <br />1~~~/~cs: --~-=- <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1S' Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2"d Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and <br />the Clerk of the Council to execute and <br />Metcalf & Eddy in the amount of $12,000 <br />exceed $179,513 for design of the West <br />Project . <br />DISCUSSION <br />authorize the City Manager and <br />amendment to the agreement with <br />for a new contract amount not to <br />Pump Station Facilities Upgrade <br />On April 4, 2005, City Council awarded a contract to Metcalf & Eddy Inc. <br />in the amount of $167,513 for design of the West Pump Station Facility <br />Upgrades (Exhibit 1) The improvements will include a new pump building, <br />new booster pumps, motors and appurtenances as well as all new electrical <br />panels and equipment. <br />This project is partially funded with a Federal Grant from the <br />Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA has requested a cultural <br />resources assessment of the site prior to giving final approval. This <br />assessment will include the following: <br />• Cultural Resource Archival Research <br />• Native American Consultation <br />• Archeological Field Survey <br />• Cultural Resources Report of the findings. <br />25A-1 <br />
