Wood St., thanked the Council for its continuing support of Great <br />Western Reclamation as demonstrated by the recent award of the contract for City trash <br />collection and recycling services. <br /> <br />Sean Mill, 617 S. Starboard, expressed opposition to a materials recovery facility proposed at <br />2003 S. Standard and asked the Council to reject siting such a facility in an economically <br />depressed neighborhood. <br /> <br />Pat Mill, 617 S. Starboard, requested the Council advise the listening audience of the subject <br />matter being considered by the Council as the items are taken up, and expressed concern about <br />State impacts on recycling efforts by individuals. <br /> <br />Sal Juarez, 2723 W. Camden, and Beatrice Calderon, 1238 S. Clara, expressed opposition to <br />the materials recovery facility referred to by previous speaker Sean Mill. <br /> <br />Don Edwards, 1424 Louise Street, spoke concerning the United States Constitution. <br /> <br />Florence Leach, 2025 W. 10th Street, reminded the listening audience of the upcoming public <br />hearing on a proposed community facilities improvement plan scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers on May 18, 1993. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 206 MAY 17, 1~93 <br /> <br /> <br />
