+Santa Ana's cable system. Mayor Young requested City staff to place the matter on the <br />next Cable Television Advisory Board Agenda. <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. Tenth Street, suggested that the Oath of Office administered to public <br />officials in Santa Ana be amended to require such officials to swear to the City Charter of <br />Santa Ana as well as to the United States and California Constitutions. <br /> <br />John Spring, 2117 N. Towner, reported that the City's apparent lack of a grievance <br />procedure for Americans with Disability Act complaints was causing him undue hardship <br />regarding his proposal to modify his dwelling and reiterated his request for Council <br />assistance with obtaining the necessary approvals for modifications to his dwelling. <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Norton reported that a fireman had recently been accosted at a fire station in <br />the City and inquired as to whether security might be improved at the City's fire stations. <br />He also reported he had received a constituent request asking that the name of Flower Park <br />be changed to Flora Park and asked the Council to consider that request. <br /> <br />Councilmember Moreno suggested that persons with concerns regarding the proposed <br />Materials Recovery Facilities in the Delhi neighborhood lobby the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Young indicated to John Spring that any decision made by the Planning Commission <br />with respect to his property could be appealed to the City Council. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - ROOM 147 - 7:03 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced that the City Council was recessing to Closed Session <br />pursuant to: <br /> <br /> Government Code Section 54957.6 to meet with its designate. <br />d representatives regarding labor relations matters; <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the City Attorney regarding <br />pending litigation which had been initiated formally and to which the City was a <br />party to wit: <br /> <br />SEIU vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Brann vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br />Centola vs. City of Santa Aha; and pursuant to <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1) regarding pending litigation of <br />significant exposure. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 296 AUGUST 16, 1993 <br /> <br /> <br />
