Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and Clerk of the Council to execute agreements with the Service <br />Employees International Union Local 347 regarding wages, hours, and <br />other terms and conditions of employment for part time employees. <br /> <br />2. Adopt a Resolution regarding salary for Unrepresented part time <br />classifications of employment. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City <br />completed <br />wi th both <br />employees <br />expired on <br /> <br />and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) recently <br />contract negotiations, resulting in new, four-year agreements, <br />Part Time (less than 20 hours) and Part Time Civil Service <br />(30 hours), since the previous Memorandums of Understanding <br />June 30, 2004. <br /> <br />Key elements of each agreement include: <br /> <br />PART-TIME EMPLOYEES (19 HOURS OR LESS PER WEEK) : <br /> <br />1. Term: A four-year term, from July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2008. <br /> <br />2 . <br /> <br />Salary Increase: <br /> <br />July 1, 2004 <br />July 1, 2005 <br />July 1, 2006 <br />July 1, 2007 <br /> <br />0% <br />0% <br />4.5% <br />Minimum 3.5% up to 4.5% (me, too) <br /> <br />3. Equity Adjustment: Effective July 1, 2006 <br /> <br />Account Clerk II: 3% <br />Clerical Aide: 3% <br />Clerk Typist II: 3% <br />Equipment Service Attendant: 3% <br /> <br />25F-1 <br />
