EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Contractor shall inspect, maintain and repair the City's fire alarm systems, as set forth in this <br />exhibit. <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />1. Contractor shall provide factory authorized certified to the specific fire alarm system <br />being serviced, qualified service personnel. <br />2. Contractor shall provide qualified design engineering personnel. <br />3. Contractor shall receive and dispatch qualified service personnel to emergency calls, <br />twenty-four (24) hours per day, 365 days per year, and shall have in place, a <br />redundancy outstate system. <br />4. Contractor shall be capable of providing twenty-four (24) hour service, 365 days per <br />year, using qualified service personnel. <br />5. Contractor shall be approved by Underwriters Laboratories as an authorized UL <br />certification organization for Proprietary Fire Alarm Systems. <br />6. Contractor shall meet all requirement contained in City's Request for Proposals dated <br />September 14, 2004, incorporated by this reference, and will be held responsible for <br />the quality and completeness of all work performed for City. <br />7. Contractor shall have a valid California C10 (Electrical) and C16 Fire Sprinkler <br />Contractor License. <br />Service Personnel <br />All service personnel shall meet the following requirements: <br />a. Service personnel shall be factory trained and certified to test and maintain fire <br />alarm systems in the state of California <br />b. Service personnel shall be National Institute for Certification in Engineering <br />Technologies (NICET) certified in the field of Fire Protection Engineering <br />Technology — level 2, minimum. <br />c. Service Personnel shall have two (2) or more year's experience performing <br />service work on Firm Alarm Systems. <br />Service Personnel shall be knowledgeable of current National Fire Protection <br />Assocition (NFPA) codes and how they affect fire alarm systems <br />Service Personnel shall be capable of demonstrating, upon request, the proper trouble <br />shooting techniques, service procedures and testing procedures for the Fire Alarm <br />Systems. <br />Testing/Inspection Personnel <br />1. Consultant shall employ testing/inspection personnel as full-time fire alarm inspectors <br />2. The Lead Inspector shall be factory trained and certified to perform all NFPA <br />required testing procedures. <br />Design Engineering Personnel <br />
