Engineering personnel shall be factory trained and certified <br />Engineering personnel shall be N10ET certified. <br />2. SERVICES <br />A. Test and Inspections <br />1. Annual test and inspections of the fire alarm systems shall include: <br />• Sensitivity testing of smoke detectors as follows: <br />Smoke detectors shall be internally cleaned by using a vacuum device and <br />the exterior cleaned with approved solution <br />Smoke detectors shall be checked for proper sensitivity with <br />manufacturer's calibrated Sensitivity Test Instrument <br />- Smoke detectors that do not pass the first sensitivity test, shall be <br />dismantled, cleaned internally with approved solution and retested <br />- Smoke detector sensitivity testing and cleaning shall be performed in such <br />a manner that all smoke detectors will be tested for proper sensitivity, <br />upon completion of the second year. Minimum 50% per year. <br />- All peripheral equipment shall be functionally tested for proper alarm <br />operation. Minimum 100% per year. <br />- One device on each initiating and signaling zone shall be disconnected to <br />determine proper supervision of wiring. <br />- All control equipment and auxiliary functions shall be checked for proper <br />response to trouble and alarm conditions (i.e. City Response, AHU Shut- <br />down) <br />- All control equipment shall be tested for proper voltages during trouble <br />and alarm conditions. <br />- All batteries must be tested under load for the required time period to <br />ensure proper operation. <br />- Provide complete documentation of the entire fire alarm inspection and <br />test, listing all peripheral equipment (by location, device type, alarm zone, <br />sensitivity test results) and listing discrepancies (including any repairs <br />made while on-site) <br />All inspection, functional testing and audit functions must be performed in <br />accordance with respective nationally recognized standards (NFPA 72), <br />and state fire codes. <br />Document the above tests, including individual peripheral locations along with the <br />sensitivity test results (rating vs. actual) and individual zone test results (normal vs. <br />abnormal) must be submitted at the time of the test/inspection <br />Tests and inspections shall be performed utilizing two (2) Contractor qualified <br />personnel. The representatives shall be present during the entire inspection and <br />utilize the following equipment supplied by Contractor: <br />3.1 Two (2) two-way radios <br />3.2 "Gemini" or equivalent smoke detector sensitivity tester <br />3.3 Decibel meter <br />
