<br />F. The City Council wishes to continue to help City employees with financial <br />hardships resulting from being called to active duty for more than 30 <br />continuous days in connection with the continuing current military crisis by <br />extending these benefits through June 30, 2007. <br /> <br />G. it is now desired to amend Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 2001-065 to effect <br />these changes. <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3.1 Special Compensation Provisions (Applicable to <br />Full Time Civil Service Employees Only. Unless Otherwise Specified) of <br />Resolution No 82-110, is hereby further amended by adding the following pay <br />designation "xx" to the list of special compensation provisions: <br /> <br />"(xx) An incumbent in the classification of Fire Battalion Chief who is <br />assigned by the Fire Chief to work a temporary duty assignment outside of Suppression <br />and Rescue shall be paid, effective the first day of such temporary assignment, at a rate <br />set twenty (20) salary rate ranges (approximately ten percent (10%)) above his or her <br />then current base monthly salary step while so assigned. In no event shall these <br />assignment premiums be made for an employee on light duty and/or for disciplinary <br />reassignment purposes." <br /> <br />Section 3: That Section 5 of Resolution No. 2001-065, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 5. This Resolution, and the pay and benefits authorized herein, <br />shall be effective throughout the entirety of Fiscal Year 2006-2007, but shall terminate <br />and be of no further force or effect on midnight, June 30, 2007, unless extended by <br />further action of the City Council or otherwise required by law." <br /> <br />Section 4: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of <br />Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 2001-065 shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />Section 5: That except as stated otherwise above, this Resolution shall be <br />operative from and after July 1, 2006. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 2006. <br /> <br />~~ <br />c/"..~ ~- / / <br />#f4A:;{i! ::~ <br /> <br />~IA.
