<br />Contract Award for Automated System <br />July 17, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The UASI Grant stipulates that government agencies purchase equipment that <br />can be used interchangeably wi th other law enforcement agencies wi thin <br />their geographical region during a disaster or terrorist attack. The <br />specifications for the PIPS Technology, Incorporated mobile ALPR system <br />are the same as those recently adopted by the Anaheim Police Department <br />and other Orange County police agencies. The ALPR system will be used and <br />shared within the Santa Ana and Anaheim urban areas as a capability <br />enhancement to detect, survey, and identify potential terrorist subjects <br />or their locations.
