APPROPRIATION LIMIT OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FOR FY 94-95 <br />Motion: Adopt resolution. <br />RESOLUTION 94-039 - A resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />establishing the appropriations limit of the City of Santa Ana for Fiscal Year 1994-95 <br />- Finance and Management Services <br />MOTION: Mills <br />SECOND: Pulido <br />VOTE: AYES: Lutz, Mills, McGuigan, Moreno, Pulido, Young <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Richardson FILE BK <br />90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Mark Gassman reported an application by the Southland Athletic Association for the Deaf for a <br />fireworks stand permit had been denied due to an insufficient number of members of the group <br />residing in Santa Ana and asked if the Council might waive that permit requirement. <br />The City Attorney noted that the membership requirement was contained in an ordinance and that <br />the Council cannot waive ordinances. <br />Mayor Young referred Gassman to the City Manager and City Attorney for solution of the <br />Association's dilemma. <br />Steve Silver, representing the Santa Ana Police Management Association, requested the current <br />negotiations between the City and the PMA be extended to allow resolution of a conflict regarding <br />alternative work schedules. <br />90.B. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Moreno: <br />- thanked the persons who had supported him in his recent 69th assembly district race; <br />- was informed by Planning and Building Agency Executive Director Robyn Uptegraff <br />that the National Sports Grill's application for a variance and conditional use permits <br />would be considered by the Planning Commission on June 27, 1994; <br />- inquired as to when the City's contract for collection of traffic fines would expire <br />(Finance and Management Services Executive Director Rod Coloma indicated he would <br />investigate and respond); <br />- inquired as to when the City's animal shelter contract would go to bid; and <br />- requested staff perform a traffic study on Wright Street at the intersection of Wright <br />and First Streets. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 168 JUNE 20, 1994 <br />
