TRC <br />has experience taking sites all the way to regulatory closure, including providing site - specific risk <br />assessments to focus on hot -spot cleanup. Our staff, and especially those proposed for this project, have <br />experience on a wide variety of contaminated sites, including leaking UST sites, dry cleaning facilities, <br />industrial sites, and abandoned buildings. This includes the following types of site remediation activities: <br />Removal of USTS, such as those removed from the corner of Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue <br />• Excavationandoff site disposalofcontaminatedsoil <br />• Abatement and removal of asbestos or LBP from buildings <br />priorto demolition <br />• Installation of groundwater treatment equipment and <br />operation of the equipment until site cleanup objectives are <br />completed <br />• Vapor extraction system installation and operation to remove <br />VOCs from vadose zone soil areas. <br />• Insitu remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater by <br />bioremediation and chemical treatment methodologies <br />TRC maintains a SCAQMD Rule 1166 permit for excavation of <br />VOC- impacted soil at various locations within the South Coast <br />Basin. By maintaining this permit, TRC can quickly respond to <br />incidents that may require remedial excavation of less than <br />2,000 tons of affected soil. <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />RiskAssessment <br />TRC is experienced in conducting multi- media, multi - pathway human health risk assessments. TRC develops <br />the scope forthe human health risk assessment taking into account land uses and site conditions to ensure that <br />the assessment focuses on appropriate and reasonable exposure scenarios. TRC works with state and /or <br />federal officials, and effectively communicates with stakeholders to ensure that the risk assessment proceeds <br />efficientlyand effectively. <br />Human health risk assessments have been performed for former Manufactured Gas Plant sites, transportation <br />and distribution terminals, pesticide and dry- cleaner solvent impacted properties, industrial properties, <br />landfills, and similarly distressed properties. We are familiar with various risk assessment methodologies <br />including those defined bythe USEPA, CoIEPA, andASTM Risk Based Corrective Action. <br />California Environmental Quality Act <br />A core business of TRC's Irvine office is the preparation of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />documents for clients.
