POLICE HELICOPTER SERVICES <br />Motion: Adopt resolution. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION 94-06~- A resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> Aha, California approving the agreement for Airborne Law Enforcement <br /> Services - Police Department <br /> <br />MOTION: McGuigan <br /> <br />VOTE: AYES: <br /> <br /> NOES: <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SECOND: Pulido <br /> <br />Lutz, Mills, McGuigan, Moreno, Pulido, Richardson, <br />Young <br />None <br /> <br />FILE BK <br /> <br />RECESSED TO HOUSING AUTHORITY - 7:22 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 7:23 P.M. - All Councilmembers present <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />90.A. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Sal Juarez suggested the Council enact an ordinance to require watering of yards, requested <br />Code Enforcement more stringently police portable toilet usage in residential neighborhoods, <br />and thanked Dan Young for his excellent service as Mayor. <br /> <br />George Estrada urged the City Council to endorse Proposition 187, the state ballot measure <br />that prohibits the delivery of educational and other government services to illegal immigrants. <br /> <br />Helena Roberts encouraged the City Council to oppose Measure A, the local ballot measure <br />requiring conversion of the E1 Toro military base to a commercial airport. <br /> <br />Bill Richey thanked Councilmember Mills and Council Services Manager Lorraine Lazarine <br />for their assistance regarding installation of a handicapped ramp at the northwest comer of <br />Fairview Avenue and Seventeenth Street. Richey also reported delinquent acts against the <br />horses on his property adjacent to the Santa Ana riverbed and inquired as to which <br />government agency was responsible for policing the riverbed.
