Relevant soil parameters as required for the design of 8'
high sound walls, miscellaneous retaining walls, concrete
construction, grading operations and replacement
pavement structural sections

. Detailed report summarizing the findings and
recommendations, including boring logs and boring
location map

Civil Design Elements

Harris & Associates will perform all of rhe civil design
elements in house, which will primarily consisr of the following:

. Roadway widening design (seven plan & profile sheets at
1" = 20' scale, see Photos 2 & 5)

. Roadway AC pavement rehabilitation design (this is a
Harris design specialty and will be shown on widening
plan & profile sheers, see cracking AC pavement in
Photo 1)

. Raised median hardscape design (shown on widening
plan & profile sheets, see Photo 2)

. Roadway design CfOSS sections and typical sections (to
be surveyed ar 50' minimum intervals)

. Storm drain catch basin and lateral pipe design
(anticipated at minimum of 9 locations and as required
for the proposed cul-de-sacs) Note: Harris & Associares
already prepared rhe design 54" RCP main line storm
drain in Bristol Street within the proposed project reach
(see Exhibit 2), including all of the back up hydrology
and hydraulics calculations (see Exhibit 3), so rhere will
be zero start up time required to complete the required
storm drain lateral design.

. Cul-de-sac design (separate plan view detail sheets at
eight locations, namely, Highland Srreer, Richland
Avenue - west, Raymar Street - east & west, Camile
street, Chestnut Avenue and Pine Street - east & west,
see Photo 3)

Photo S - Ultimate Widening Already Complete: A 450'
long reach on the east ,ide of Bristol Str"~ north of Cubbon
Str"~ is already built out to ultimate. This will streamline the
"nstruction efforll along this commercial property frontage
and help to minimize impacts during construction.

='

Photo 6 - OaA Bus Stops: We will coordinate early with
OCTA to confirm their preferred locations and sizes for new
recessed bus bays. This will help to maintain uninterrupted
traffic flow in the number J lane. Also note the adjacent
business (food market) for which continuous access will
he maintained as part of the project requiremenll for the
construction contractor.

== , Harris & Associates.

Bristol Corridor Widening - Phase I
Page-4-
