In general the Urban Designer shall <br />review existing materials, familiarize themselves with existing conditions, and prepare a conceptual plan for <br />the improvement of streetscape and open spaces in the district based upon changes to the general plan and <br />land use plan for the district that are being considered by the Client. The Scope of Work shall include <br />diagrams of proposed improvements and development of an outline of possible costs for the implementation <br />of same as well as meetings with the Client and others as determined by the Client to review the work and <br />progress. <br />Specific Scope of Work <br />Task 1 —Site Visit, Review of Existing Materials, and Base Maps: the Urban Designer shall visit the site <br />to observe and document existing conditions, review existing materials including but not limited to proposed <br />changes to existing land uses and zoning and the accompanying environmental documents, and prepare a <br />base map utilizing materials provided by the Client as well materials available in the public record. <br />Task 1 Work Products — base map (1) and photo board(s) <br />Task 2 — Conceptual Design: the Urban Designer shall develop diagrams illustrating recommendations for <br />public improvements including but not limited to: <br />1. Streetscapes <br />2. Street furniture <br />3. Public open space. <br />Upon receiving comments from City staff the Urban Designer shall make reasonable revisions. <br />Task 2 Work Products — boards (reducible to 8.5' X 11") illustrating conceptual improvements including but <br />not limited to typical streetscape plans, typical street sections, open space opportunities, and typical street <br />furniture, and memorandum outlining recommendations. <br />Task 3 — Unit Cost Estimate: the Urban Designer shall prepare a unit cost estimate of improvements as <br />prepared in Task 2. As appropriate, the Urban Designer shall meet with City staff to review unit costs. Upon <br />receiving comments from City staff the Urban Designer shall make reasonable revisions. <br />Task 3 Work Products - a unit cost estimate of proposed improvements in spreadsheet form. <br />Task 4 — Meetings: the Urban Designer shall attend a maximum of five (5) meetings with the Client and/or <br />others as determined by the Client. <br />Schedule <br />Assuming a continuous work process with no interruptions beyond the control of the Urban Designer <br />including normal holidays, the Scope of Work above shall be completed in approximately eight weeks. <br />Fee <br />The fee for the above Scope of Work exclusive of reasonable reimbursables shall be $14,810. <br />EXHIBIT A2_ <br />
