Contract Award for Midsize Passenger Vehicles <br />August 21, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 19 and 21, 2006, and bids <br />were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />13 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />1 Invitation for Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendor <br />7 Bids received <br />Bids were received, opened on August 1, 2006, and evaluated (Exhibit 1). <br />The bid received from Fairview Ford Sales, Inc. did not meet the minimum <br />engine capacity and vehicle dimension requirements and was therefore <br />considered nonresponsive. The bid from Bob Stall Chevrolet is responsive to <br />the specifications and meets the City's requirements. <br />Bob Stall Chevrolet provides for the purchase of miscellaneous vehicle <br />parts as required. The purchase of the passenger vehicles, when combined <br />with previous purchases by Fleet Services during the current fiscal year, <br />exceeds the $10,000 aggregate limit.
