<br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />. Workforce <br />. Linguistically isolated households <br /> <br />Dale Ward presented an update on "High School Inc," A Partnership between the <br />Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce & Santa Ana Unified School District and indicated <br />that the MOU is being drafted and will be on the March 14,2006 School Board meeting <br />agenda for adoption. <br /> <br />Social Compact . Presented by Scott Kutner - Scott Kutner, of the Community <br />Development Agency provided an overview of the Neighborhood Market Analysis <br />Study prepared by Social Compact, a non-profit organization, based out of <br />Washington, D.C. and presented as follows: <br /> <br />. Size/Growth <br />. Buying Power <br />. Risk/Stability <br /> <br />BOARD TASK FORCE REPORTS <br /> <br />Budget and Program Task Force - Mike Metzler - No Report <br /> <br />Education Task Force - Claudia Hernandez - No Report <br /> <br />Marketing Task Force - Mary Bloom-Ramos - No Report <br /> <br />Sustainability Task Force - Mary Bloom-Ramos - A new meeting format was used at <br />the last meeting. Scott Kutner was asked to facilitate the meeting utilizing the six-hat <br />technique <br /> <br />SAEC Board AD HOC - James Price - Met with Richard Castro of NeighborWorks. Mr. <br />Castro mentioned that their group of partners is full at this time, therefore, SAEC are <br />unable to be a partner at this time. However, he will seek scholarships that allow a <br />couple of people to attend some seminars and also assist with exploring partnerships. <br />Addtionally, Mr. Castro complimented the Board on a good core and track record to <br />work with. <br /> <br />Ms. Sanchez added that at the last retreat there was discussion relative to changes to <br />the Board. Mr. Castro offered information on consultants who would be able to assist <br />the Board with developing a plan to reach its mission. Staff will be reviewing the <br />information on the consultants and reporting back to the Board. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Deborah Sanchez reported that public notice for the Zone 1 recruitment was released <br />this week.
