Award a contract to Accord Engineering, Inc., the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices for the base bid and add - <br />on alternate in the estimated amount of $406,642 for construction of <br />storm drain construction and street improvements at various <br />locations. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $508,300. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project provides for storm drain construction and street <br />improvements at various locations (Exhibit 1). This project includes <br />installation of storm drain and catch basins to alleviate flooding at the <br />intersection of Pendleton and Forest Avenues, Myrtle Street at Pacific <br />Avenue, and Third Street between Bush and Spurgeon Streets. Also, the <br />project includes storm drain and replacement of a valley gutter on Birch <br />Street south of Central Avenue to improve street drainage. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on July 21 and 24, 2006, and bids <br />were opened on August 10, 2006.
