a. Fertilizers shall be complete, furnishing the required percentage of <br />nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potassium to keep lawns, trees, shrubs, <br />and other plants in a healthy and vigorous growing condition. <br />b. Insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and rodenticides shall be of the <br />best quality obtainable, properly labeled with guaranteed analysis, <br />and brought to the job site in the manufacture's original container. <br />c. Tree stakes, tree ties and guy wires shall be of materials matching <br />those existing in the work site or as specified by the Director. <br />d. Replacement trees, shrubs, ground cover, and other plants shall be of <br />a size, condition and variety specified by the Director. <br />e. Replacement plant materials maybe inspected by the Director prior <br />to planting. <br />f. The Director shall determine replacement lawn sod <br />D. Rec cog <br />All organic waste (including leaves, grass clippings, brush, branches, and tree parts) <br />resulting from work performed under this contract shall be recycled through <br />composting or processing for use as mulch. Organic waste cannot be taken to the <br />landfill. The names and addresses of the licensed greenwaste composting or <br />processing companies, and haulers, along with the tonnages used and receipts, shall <br />be provided to the Director in a Monthly written report and an Annual written <br />report. <br />III. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE <br />Routine maintenance shall include but not be limited to the following services performed <br />on all work sites listed in Exhibit C. <br />A. TURF CARE <br />1) Mowing <br />a. All turf shall be mowed weekly with mulching mowers. Subject to <br />the approval of the Director, the contractor may reduce the mowing <br />frequency to biweekly during periods of rain or prolonged cold. All <br />grass clippings shall be left in place with the exception of large <br />accumulations, which shall be collected and removed after each <br />mowing. All roadways adjacent to work areas shall be kept clean at <br />all times. <br />b. All turf shall be cut to a height appropriate for the type of grass <br />being mowed. Mowers shall be maintained in optimum condition <br />15 <br />
