During these repairs
areas of leakage were discovered in several secondary components that will require an
underground access for component replacement or repair not discovered or included in
the original proposal. The following information is provided that will outline those
construction type repairs for each tank system. This work will require plans, permits
and approval by the Santa Ana Fire Dept.

o

EMERGENCY GENERATOR TANK SYSTEM
The 3" secondary piping termination at the diesel turbine sump upon removal of the old
piping test boot was found with a crack extending outside tha containment sump. This
pipe end was tapered rather than flush cut during construction. A tapered pipe end is
used for insertion into a connectOr. It will be necessary to Excavate outside the
containment sump to this supply piping secondary to replace the piping immediately
outside the sump. For this proposal up to five feet of piping is assumed to be replaced.
Additional piping if replacement is required will be quoted and work completed with
clients written approvi'll only.

c

Scope of Work
<> Generate plans, applications and submittal package to ClJPA and City of Santa Ana
concerned regulatory agencies; obtain permit approvals
<> At the turbine sump area saw cut concrete on the supply piping side of containment
sump.
