<br />this zoning document would not involve the construction of any <br />structures that would be subject to geotechnical constraints, <br /> <br />VI. HAZARDS/HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Create a significant hazard to the public or the <br />environment through the routine transport, use or disposal <br />of hazardous materials? <br />B. Emit hazardous emissions or handle hazardous or acutely <br />hazardous materials, substance or waste within one-quarter <br />mile of an existing or proposed school? <br />C. Be located on a site which is located on a list of <br />hazardous material sites compiles pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 659662.5 and, as a result, would it create a <br />significant hazard to the public or the environment? <br /> <br />No Impact <br /> <br />Approval of the proposed amendment to the Municipal Code to <br />establish a zoning ordinance for a Specific District and any <br />subsequent construction according to this zoning document would <br />not result in the creation of or increase the potential of any <br />significant hazardous material impacts to the public, in that <br />the approval of the proposed ordinance would not invol ve any <br />activities that would include the handling, storage or <br />distribution of hazardous materials or emit hazardous emissions. <br />Any retail use that operates from this site in the future would <br />be subject to local, state and federal regulations regarding the <br />handling of hazardous materials. <br /> <br />D. For a project located within an airport land use plan or <br />where such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles <br />where a public airport or public use airport, would the <br />project result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />working in the project area? <br /> <br />No Impact <br /> <br />According to the City's General Plan Land Use Element EIR and <br />the Orange County Airports Environs Land Use Plan, Santa Ana is <br />not located within any aircraft accident potential zones, nor is <br />the proposed project located within a John Wayne Airport <br />Planning Area. Additionally, there are no private airstrips in <br />the City. Therefore, approval of the proposed amendment to the <br />Municipal Code would not increase the potential for safety <br />hazards for people residing in or working within the City. <br /> <br />7 SCr57 <br />
