Councilmember McGuigan invited Reyes and other interested persons to tour the <br />sanitation district facilities with her. <br /> <br />Charles Bordenave expressed several concerns including but not limited to employee lay offs, <br />Councilmember block voting on agenda items, trash contract rates, board and commission <br />appointments, and low income housing programs. <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Espinoza: <br /> <br />- reported attending the closing ceremonies of the South Coast Girls softball <br /> league at Thornton Park and commended City staff and league boardmembers for <br /> a job well done; and <br /> <br />- requested staff look into a vacant lot trash problem along south Bristol <br /> between Wilshire and Edinger. <br /> <br />In response to Espinoza's query, City Manager Ream indicated staff plans to use the City's <br />landscaped median maintenance contractor to clean up old buildings that had been burned by the <br />Fire Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Richardson announced the "Keep America Beautiful" Awards ceremonies would <br />be held at the Santa Ana Zoo on the evening of Thursday, June 26. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 200 JUNE 16, 1997 <br /> <br /> <br />
