Award a contract to Pro Tech Engineering, the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$399,285 for construction of traffic signal installation at two <br />locations. <br /> <br />3. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $499,100. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />This project provides for installation of two traffic signals at the <br />intersections of 5th Street at Jackson Street and MacArthur Boulevard at <br />Birch Street (Exhibit 1). Once completed, these traffic signals will <br />increase the safety of motorists and pedestrians at these intersections. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on September 25 and 27, 2006, and <br />bids were opened on October 24, 2006.
