<br />FY05 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM - VERSION 2.0. 12-22-2004 <br /> <br />scheduling capability, CBRNE exercises, State Homeland Security Assessment and <br />Strategy Grants, and technical assistance (TA). <br /> <br />CSID can be contacted at 1-800-368-6498 or askcsid@dhs.Qov, CSID <br />hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (EST), Monday-Friday. <br /> <br />Homeland Security Preparedness Technical Assistance Proaram (HSPTAP) <br />ODP's technical assistance program provides direct assistance to state and local <br />jurisdictions to improve their ability to prevent, respond to, and recover from threats or <br />acts of terrorism involving CBRNE weapons. A primary objective of the program is to <br />enhance the capacity of state and local jurisdictions, as well as special needs <br />jurisdictions such as port authorities and mass transit agencies to develop, plan, and <br />implement effective strategies for CBRNE preparedness. TA may be provided to state <br />and local governments, law enforcement, fire, hazardous materials, and other <br />community agencies that have CBRNE responsibilities, including Citizen Corps <br />Councils. All TA services are available to eligible recipients at no charge. ODP will <br />cover the cost of providing the technical expertise, travel, and related expenses. <br />Examples ofTA programs are included in Table 7 below. <br /> <br />Table 7. Exam les of OOP Technical Assistance Pro <br /> <br /> <br />Enhancing Grants <br />Management Capacities <br /> <br />This T A service seeks to further improve the ability of SAAs to manage <br />and account for grant funds awarded by ODP.
