Tierra de las Pampas <br />September 1, 2006 <br />Page 7 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />TASK 1- Pre - Design Meeting <br />a. Meet with City Project Manager and Design Review Team, review project <br />requirements, objectives, schedule, design procedures, project approach, <br />and working methodology. (1 meeting) <br />b. Obtain documents and information to be provided by City. <br />TASK 2 - Program Analysis/Design Development <br />A. Program Analysis, Site Information, and Field Review <br />1. Review and assess design criteria, standards, requirements, and <br />construction procedures as outlined in the RFP. <br />2. Prepare topographic survey using aerial photography and ground <br />survey methods. The survey would include zoo features, <br />terrain variances, and significant landscape elements. Collect surface <br />data for features such as trees, walkways, tracks, mow strips, <br />structures, fences, planter areas, visible above ground utilities. <br />Deliverables: AutoCAD drawing with 1 foot contour intervals and spot <br />elevations. <br />Aerial photography would include Phase II areas as well as PhaseI. <br />3. Review City as -built information regarding irrigation, drainage, <br />utilities, etc. Plot known underground utilities on base sheet using <br />information supplied by City. <br />4. Walk site, record existing features, views, access, adjacent uses etc. <br />Evaluate condition of existing site features, such as pavement, walls, <br />site furniture, planting, drainage etc. Assess pedestrian and service <br />circulation patterns and access for persons with disabilities. <br />Summarize information and implications on site analysis document. <br />Assess and summarize space requirements for proposed animal <br />holding buildings, overlooks and other facilities. <br />Assess and provide summary of the criteria and characteristics of <br />proposed animal holding buildings. <br />(Allow 2 meetings with staff and Design Review Team during this phase) <br />
