1. Introduction Santa Ana Police Department, California, (Santa Ana) is interested in purchasing a site license for the Commsys ConnectCICT'" Transaction Workflow Engine (TWE) and the appropriate ConnectCIC Modules. This site license will allow ConnectCIC to act as middleware for any software application that requires integration to the OCATS Regional Message Switch that the agency implements. The OCATS regional message switch facilitates access to the OCATS regional systems, CLETS, NCIC, and Nlets supported systems. 2. Scope of Work Since this site license is being requested after a current vendor, Positron, Inc., has already purchased and paid for the ConnectCIC modules necessary to support their integrated interface to OCATS, the site license cost will be adjusted to reflect such. However, if Santa Ana wishes to have the ConnectCIC portion for Positron rolled into the site license and Positron agrees, this quote can be modified to accomplish this as well. Previously to vendors, Abbey Group Consultants and Visiphor Consulting Services, CommSys provided separate quotations to support the modules in ConnectCIC that were necessary to facilitate their integration to OCATS/CLETS/NCIC/Nlets. In order to ensure the Santa Ana site license will have the necessary ConnectCIC modules to accommodate these vendor applications and additional vendor applications over time, the following is proposed for this site license: 1. ConnectCIC Transaction Workflow Engine (server component), V. 2.0 -one instance that supports multiple vendor connections for Santa Ana applications. 2. OCATS Basic I~uiry Module -- (see Appendix A for transactions supported). 3. Data-Mining Module -provides parsing for a subset of identified fields (i.e. NCIC return data for Article, Boat, Gun, Person, and Vehicle information) that vendors can readily use to integrate more easily into their application (entire return comes back in a block and is always provided). 4. Meta-Data Module -provide forms definitions for each message transaction indicating form and field requirements. If used updates can be dynamic For the vendor eliminating the need for code changes if a transaction changes. 5. Expanded Inquiry Moduee -- (see Appendix B for transactions supported) -these are additional inquiry transactions beyond what is supported within our basic query modules, examples are criminal history and other specialized systems such as gang/terrorists, securities, domestic violence, super queries, etc. 6. Basic Entry/Modifv Module (see Appendix C for transactions supported) -these are transaction that provide the option to enter, modify, locate, clear, and cancel records. 7. Unlimited vendor connections to ConnectCIC for Santa Ana Police Department Applications -- vendor must be providing an application for Santa Ana Public Safety (multi-connection module). 8.
