9. Version Updates -- Under the terms of our support and maintenance agreement,
version updates to the above modules will be provided if Santa Ana maintains
annually a support contract with CommSys. New modules will be available for
purchase but not covered under the support and maintenance agreement. If a
support and maintenance contract is not maintained, support can be provided on a
per incident basis once a P.O. is received and all softwaze upgrades will be
provided at list price.
10. Development support for vendors writing to our API -- Upon request from Santa
Ana, we will provide the latest ConnectCIC Developer Docs to specified vendors.
Every vendor prior to being provided ConnectCIC Developer Documentation will
be required to sign the CommSys ConnectCIC developer agreement and will be
provided 5 hours of developer support. There is no cost associated with execution
of the agreement by the vendor developer, but execution protects CommSys's
intellectual property.
Unlike the previous quotes we provided to vendors where we targeted what each vendor
needed for their specific interface, with the site license every vendor will have access to
all modules above under this site license agreement.
If a transaction or transactions outside of those listed in Appendix A, B, and C and
supported by OCATS, CLETS, NCIC/Nlets are needed, CommSys can provide the
transaction, upon receipt of a P.O, at a cost of $200 per transaction. If a large group of
transactions are requested (10 transactions or greater per P.O.), Commsys will provide a
bundle discount of 25%. Also, if a stand-alone full-terminal application (similar to your
ELETE application) is needed, Commsys will provide a per device quote (non-integrated
application supporting all OCTAS/CLETS/NCIC/Nlets transactions). This application
module is ConnectCIC CLIPS and does use the ConnectCIC TWE for access to OCATS,
but does not integrate with any other application.
Santa Ana will be responsible for the 3`d-party software and hardware to support the
ConnectCIC software, i.e. server, Windows OS, SQL licenses, and all the
hardware/software necessary to connect to OCATS. Santa Ana is also responsible for
meeting all requirements by OCATS, CLETS, and CJIS to provide secure access, etc.
Note: The server and SQL database currently implemented for ConnectCIC should work
fine into the foreseeable future.
Upon receipt of a purchase order, Commsys will ensure the modules outlined in this
quotation and all of the transactions listed in Appendices A, B, and C are developed,
documented, and alpha tested and the current license key at Santa Ana updated to support
all of the above-listed modules at Santa Ana. Note: Some of the transactions listed in the
Appendices were quoted previously but have not been implemented in our current
OCATS interface that Positron is using. We have for previously implementations
completed all CLETS/NCIC/Nlets transactions directly to CLETS but will need to alter
these for the OCATS message switch to support their header requirements. Furthermore,
we will need to provide the additional OCATS transactions listed in the Appendices that
© Copyright 2006 Commsys Incorporated Santa Ana Quote for Site License
October 25, 2006 Page 2
