Proiect #5 Recovery: <br />Goal: <br />Enhance capabilities to rapidly recover from the impacts of emergencies and disasters. To <br />provide for: an efficient, integrated and comprehensive transition process from response to <br />recovery operations; effective disaster assistance to impacted individuals, business and public <br />agencies; longer -term reconstruction activities; and, mitigation and risk management activities. <br />Objectives: <br />• Develop recovery plans and programs. <br />• Establish recovery plans and partnerships. <br />• Develop after action reports. <br />• Implement corrective actions. <br />• Improve communications with OES constituents, legislators and special interest groups, <br />• Provide advocacy and necessary training and information to those seeking disaster <br />assistance. <br />• Anticipate and address recovery issues with local governments, state agencies, private <br />organizations, and the federal government in a timely and effective manner. <br />• Establish programs and streamline processes to improve customer service. <br />Descrintion: <br />The Orange County Operational Area will continue to develop disaster recovery capabilities <br />through planning activities, including recovery plan development; the growth of partnerships, <br />both private and public; use of after action reports, combined with the implementation of <br />corrective actions for both real events and exercises; working with Operational Area members <br />to assist with the disaster assistance process; and plan for an integrated and comprehensive <br />transition process from response to recovery operations. The OCOA will use the Orange <br />County Emergency Management Organization and the Operational Area members to work <br />through the above mentioned activities. <br />Performance Measures: <br />These activities will continue throughout the grant performance period from October 1, 2005 to <br />September 30, 2006. <br />Page 8 of 51 <br />
