begin within 24 hours for critical items and within 3 days for non - critical items <br />after notification by the CITY. <br />B. Equipment, software, and materials which do not achieve design requirements after <br />installation shall be replaced or modified by the SMS Supplier to attain compliance, at <br />no additional cost to the CITY. Following replacement or modification, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall retest the system and perform any additional procedures <br />needed to place the complete system in satisfactory operation and attain design <br />compliance approval from the ENGINEER. <br />C. All parts, material (excluding consumables), labor, travel, subsistence, or other <br />expenses incurred in providing all the services and service visits during the one -year <br />warrantee period shall be borne by the SMS Supplier under the guarantee. <br />E. The warrantee period shall start when the work has been completed and accepted by <br />the CITY and the ENGINEER. <br />1.10 MAINTENANCE CONTRACT <br />A. Prior to final acceptance of the Project, the CONTRACTOR shall offer and present in <br />writing to the CITY a one -year maintenance contracts from the SMS Supplier which <br />will become effective upon the expiration of the warranty required by the Contract <br />Documents. The CONTRACTOR shall include in his bid the cost of the additional <br />one -year maintenance contract to the CITY. <br />PART2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 GENERAL <br />A. All materials and equipment furnished under this contract shall be new, free from <br />defects, and shall be standard products produced by manufacturers regularly <br />engaged in the manufacturer of these products. <br />B. Where there is more than one item of similar equipment being furnished under this <br />contract, all such similar equipment shall be the product of a singular manufacturer. <br />C. All cameras, instruments, and other components shall be the most recent field proven <br />models marketed by their manufacturers at the time of submittal of the shop drawings <br />unless otherwise specified to match existing equipment. <br />D. All instrumentation shall be suitable for operation in the ambient conditions at the <br />equipment installation locations. Heating, cooling, and dehumidifying devices shall be <br />incorporated with the outdoor instrumentation in order to maintain it within its rated <br />environmental operating ranges. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish and install all <br />power wiring for these devices (e.g., heaters, fans, etc.).
