this project. The training courses shall be given on -site during the final stages of the <br />system checkout. All instruction, tools and training material shall be provided by the <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />B. Maintenance Training: A maintenance - training course shall be provided for up to <br />six (6) designated personnel of the CITY. This course shall be designed to provide <br />the operations, maintenance and supervisory personnel with training in routine and <br />preventive maintenance of all items in the instrumentation, and the computer <br />monitoring and control aspects of the system. The training course shall include <br />instruction on the use of all maintenance equipment and special tools provided under <br />the contract. During the course, hands -on experience with the system equipment <br />shall be provided. Course duration shall be a minimum of 8 hours. <br />C. Operator Training: An operator's training course shall be given for up to six (6) <br />designated personnel of the CITY. This course shall be designed to teach <br />operations, maintenance, and supervisory personnel how to operate the camera, <br />instrumentation, and the computer monitoring and control aspects of the system. <br />Two separate classes shall be offered. Course duration shall be a minimum of 8 <br />hours. <br />D. Hands -On instruction : — In addition to the maintenance and the operator training <br />courses, the operating and maintenance personnel shall be given hands -on <br />instruction in the functions and operation of the system and instruments 15 days <br />(minimum) prior to startup. This instruction shall be scheduled for two identical <br />sessions of 4 hours each with the CITY, with 4 hours of instruction each day, at least <br />two weeks in advance. <br />E. Follow -up Training: 90 days after system acceptance two separate 4 hour sessions <br />shall be offered as follow -up training. This session shall have no formal syllabus and <br />shall be provided to answer questions raised during normal operations. <br />3.5 WORK SEQUENCE <br />A.
