COUNCIL <br />85.A. <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />The Motion <br /> <br />ITEMS <br /> <br />REMOVAL OF WARD 1 BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />(MORENO) <br /> <br />Charter Section 901 allows the removal of Board and Commission members by the <br />affirmative votes of a majority of the Council. <br /> <br />Remove the following Board/Commission members from their respective offices. <br /> <br />Wendy C. Tobiska <br />Wayne W. Lewis <br />Floyd McLellan <br />Glenn Mondo <br />Arthur A. Castro <br /> <br />Cable Television Advisory Board <br />Community Redevelopment / Housing Commission <br />Environmental & Transportation Advisory Committee <br />Planning Commission <br />Recreation & Parks Board <br /> <br />MOTION: Moreno <br /> <br />died for lack of second. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOLLOWED <br />IMMEDIATELY BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY - 7:31 P.M. TO 7:37 P.M. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL RECONVENED - 7:37 P.M. <br /> <br />90.A. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Carrie Schumacher, owner of a residence in the condominium complex at 408 E. Civic Center <br />Drive, explained she had been unsuccessful over an extended period to get the Fire Department <br />to re-inspect the building's alarm system and requested the Council's assistance. The City <br />Manager indicated he would investigate and report to the Council. <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Moreno: <br />· requested Public Works staff to repair potholes in the vicinity of St. Gertrude and Center <br /> Streets; <br />· expressed frustration with the continuing sale of used household items from tracks parked on <br /> streets and asked ifa legislative remedy were possible (The City Attorney and Plarming and <br /> Building Agency Executive Director explained vending from vehicles was governed by the <br /> California Vehicle Code and difficult to enforce.
