COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Counci lmember Franklin: <br />· thanked the Recreation and Community Services Agency staff for its prompt attention to the <br /> concerns expressed by the sports directors of the City's high schools regarding the <br /> deteriorated condition of Eddie West Field; <br />· asked staff to assist in distributing tour information regarding the Ronald Reagan Federal <br /> Courthouse and the Discovery Science Center (The City Manager indicated schedules would <br /> be posted on Cable Channel 3.); <br /> · recognized the anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day; <br />· congratulated the Floral Park Neighborhood on its excellent newsletter and reported the last <br /> issue had featured an article regarding the numerous bird species in the Neighborhood; <br />· welcomed Councilmembers Bist and Christy to the City Council; and <br />· reported the death of Dave Bunch, a long time County resident, educator, and member of the <br /> Santa Ana Kiwanis Club. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido indicated the Council meeting would be adjoumed in honor of Dave Bunch, and <br />wished everyone a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION - ROOM 147 - 8:08 P.M.-8:29 P.M. <br /> <br />The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss certain matters without members o f the public <br />present, provided the items to be discussed are posted 72 hours prior to the meeting.
