PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Bill Todd expressed disappointment that the Council had denied Variance 1999-01 (Item <br />75.C). <br /> <br />Jos Fern ndez suggested the proposed budget allocation to renovate the Sasscer Park <br />fountain might be better applied to development of Delhi Park, encouraged the Council <br />to move expeditiously in forming the Empowerment Zone advisory committee, and <br />indicated Nuestro Pueblo Forum of Orange County had adopted a resolution supporting <br />creation of a Santa Ana police community review board. <br /> <br />Manny Marroquin presented the Council with a Nuestro Pueblo resolution supporting the <br />immediate creation of an Empowerment Zone community citizen advisory board. <br /> <br />Lieutenant Colonel Vanda Bresnan requested Council assistance in obtaining a zoning <br />waiver for the operation of Veterans Charities at 921 North Bewley Street. <br />City Manager David Ream indicated the Council did not have the authority to waive zoning <br />application fees. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 185 JUNE 7, 1999 <br /> <br /> <br />
