<br />A-2004-176-19 <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />INSURANC! :' ..: :,,!lU <br />V.iCi~lft; iI1L\Y F!~'(~C[to <br />CLll~K OF CuUNCIl. <br />FEB 072007 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />AND THE CITY OF IRVINE <br /> <br />FOR TRANSFER AND USE OF THE FY2004 UASI GRANT PURCHASED <br /> <br />CRITICAL INCIDENT RESPONSE TRAILER <br /> <br />0: Pi) <br />(0 .44uP~) <br /> <br />This Agreement is made and entered into on the S 1'rJ,,, \')ec :2L~%y and between the <br />, <br />City of Irvine (hereinafter referred to as "Irvine") and the City of Santa Ana, a Municipal <br />Corporation and Charter City, (hereinafter referred to as "Santa Ana"). <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />I. Santa Ana has purchased a Trailer and Equipment (hereinafter, "Trailer" refers <br />ONLY to all items listed in EXHIBIT "A", and includes "Equipment" referenced <br />above, which is the trailer contents) designed for use during a regional or local <br />response (hereinafter "regional" refers to the geographical boundaries of the <br />County of Orange, and "local" refers to the geographical boundaries of Irvine) to <br />a critical incident, terrorism related attack, natural disaster, or CBRNE/WMD <br />related event, where local or regional resources have been depleted or are not <br />sufficient for effective response or protection of first responders. The trailer may <br />also be used (on a limited basis) for specific critical incident, terrorism related, <br />and CBRNE/WMD related training, drills, or exercises. The trailer was purchased <br />with FY 2004 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant funds, with the <br />primary purpose of being a regional asset used to enhance protection, response, <br />and preparedness capabilities. <br /> <br />2. Santa Ana has promulgated certain rules and regulations (See EXHIBIT "B"), <br />concerning the transfer, use, maintenance, reporting, destruction, replacement, <br />and inspection of the Trailer; and <br /> <br />3, Irvine desires to enter into an Agreement with Santa Ana outlining the ownership <br />transfer of the Trailer to Irvine, and allowing the possession, deployment and use <br />of the Trailer for critical incident, CBRNE/WMD, terrorism related responses and <br />limited training, by the Irvine Police Department. <br /> <br />C)lIC'oj <br />
