KCN RFP #06-151 43 E. PROPOSAL SUBMISSIONS 1) The proposer shall provide a listing of all items that can be sold through commissary, indicating which of these items may be sold through vending machines. This listing shall also indicate sale prices for each item. • KCN Response — Please see attachment number 3 of response to RFP for example. 2) The Proposal shall indicate the percentage of gross sales to be paid to the City each month. "Gross sales" is defined as total of all sales, minus sales tax and sales of U.S. postage stamps. • KCN Response - KCN is offering to'ithe City of,Santa Ana a 40.5% commission. 7.1 SECURITY The following securty�Tequirements shall be in effect of all times: Failure to abide by any of these items by any contractor's employee may result in removal from the facility and or criminal charges: • KCN will comply with all security policies and procedures designated by the City. • KCN considers securityrourNumber 1 priority. KCN employees and agents will comply with all City rules and regulations concerning conduct on Jail property and contact with inmates. • KCN employees undergo a drug screening and, background check before employment. KCN employees will submit to background screening compliant with the City's regulations. A. SECURITY SCREENING 1) All of the Contractor's personnel to work within the facility must successfully complete a background investigation conducted by the Santa Ana Police Department before beginning work. Contractor employees that do not successfully complete the background investigation shall not be allowed entry into the facility. No less than 45 days before an employee is scheduled to begin work, the Contractor shall submit to the Chief of Police the following information for each employee to work within the facility. a. First name, middle name, last name b. Date of birth
