PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Paul Le presented City Attorney with pictures of his property and requested <br />that his case be dismissed. <br />90.B. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Bist <br />• Extended thanks to the citizens of Santa Ana for a quiet New Year's <br />Eve; <br />• Announced that the North Santa Ana Rotary established Jan 1, 2000 as <br />a Day of Peace; and <br />• Requested staff to look into inquiry from constituent relative to increase <br />in rates for roll -off dumpsters. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Lutz <br />• extended wishes for a Happy New Year; <br />• thanked residents for quiet and safe New Year's Eve; <br />• asked staff to investigate and replace inoperative and blinking lights in <br />the breeze way area leading to the Council Chambers; and <br />• asked for Council support in coming up with a new logo for the City. <br />Councilmember McGuigan <br />stated that 1999 was a banner year for crime reduction and reported <br />that there were 15 homicides in the City during the calendar year, which <br />is the lowest total since 1974. <br />Councilmember Christy <br />• complimented City Y2K staff; <br />• asked the Executive Director of the Finance and Management Services <br />Agency to present a report on investments at the next regularly <br />televised Council meeting in February, 2000; <br />• requested the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency to <br />investigate the status of the street repair work on Raitt Street between <br />McFadden and Edinger Streets; and <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />14 <br />JANUARY 3, 2000 <br />r <br />
