15 <br />COMMENTS <br />requested the Executive Director of the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Agency to present the Council with an update on <br />the Youth 2000 Expo to be held at Eddie West Stadium on March 19, <br />2000. <br />Councilmember Franklin <br />• congratulated Allison Conley from the Floral Park Neighborhood area on <br />her appointment by Senator Dianne Feinstein to the Senate Page <br />program; <br />• mentioned the inclusion of Dennis Mitosinka Classic Cars, 619 E. 4`h <br />Street, in Sunset Magazine; <br />• commended staff on Y2K preparation; and <br />• noted the continuing concerns about the celebratory discharge of <br />firearms, and issues with driver and pedestrian safety stressing the <br />importance of involving the schools and the media as partners with the <br />City in the solution. <br />Mayor Pulido <br />complimented staff on their quick response to an overagressive tree <br />topping off by the Edison Company and encouraged staff to work with <br />the Edison Company to develop mutually acceptable standards. <br />By unanimous informal consent the City Council excused Councilmember Moreno's <br />absence. <br />ADJOURNMENT - 8:51 P.M. <br />To 5:30 p.m. on January 18, 2000 in the Police Chiefs Conference Room, <br />60 Civic Center Plaza, 41" Floor, Santa Ana, California <br />Patricia E.
