The Santa Ana Police <br />Department and Holding Facility are equipped with back up power generators <br />in the event of a power outage. Additionally, the uninterruptible power <br />source (UPS) batteries are maintained to bridge from the main power to the <br />back up power generators to insure that the power supply is not <br />interrupted. <br />There are four areas equipped with the UPS batteries: <br />center, the jail electronic security system, and the <br />both the police administration building and the holding <br />still functional, the existing UPS batteries installed <br />their recommended lifespan.
