211 <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br />Mayor Pulido joined the meeting at 7:20 p.m. <br />Staff and Mr. Torriero and Mr. Hall responded to concerns <br />Councilmembers raised with the $9.8 million preliminary budget figure, <br />seismic compliance, impact of the project on Taller San Jose, fagade <br />lighting, level of commitment from the educational institutions involved, <br />historic preservation issues, number of students served, hours of use, <br />parking for students, and funding sources. <br />Motion: 1. Approve appropriation adjustment. Requires five affirmative <br />votes. <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT NO. 2000-188 - Recognizing <br />$231,250.00 in United States Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development grant funds and appropriating same in the EDI-Special <br />Projects Fund for project planning and design build specifications of <br />the YMCA Building for the IDEA Institute — Finance and Management <br />Services <br />2.
