REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE; <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APRIL 16, 2007 <br />TITLE: <br />VARIANCE NO. 2007-01 TO REDUCE <br />PARKING STANDARDS FOR A HOME <br />IMPROVEMENT WAREHOUSE AT 1044 EAST <br />FOURTH STREET - HD SUPPLY, APPLICANT <br />C l~/~ c4.,----~~ <br />CITY MANAGER <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 1 ~' Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Receive and file the staff report approving Variance No. 2007-01 as <br />conditioned. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />On March 26, 2007, the Planning Commission approved Variance No. 2007-O1 <br />as conditioned by a vote of 7:0 to allow a reduction in parking standards <br />for a home improvement warehouse located at 1044 East Fourth Street in <br />the Heavy Industrial (M-2) zoning district. The Planning Commission <br />added conditions to require that all employees park on the project site <br />and that the conditions of the variance be reviewed by the Planning <br />Division after 90 days, 6 months, 1 year and annually there after from <br />the date of issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy for the project <br />(Exhibit A).
