415 <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Legal Notice published in the Orange County Resister on November <br />24, 2000 and December 8, 2000, and mailed November 22, 2000 <br />Recommended for denial by the Planning Commission on December <br />11, 2000 by a 3-3 vote (Mondo, Nalle and Doughty opposed) <br />Presentation of staff report by Deputy City Manager for Development <br />Services Nelson <br />Presentation of written communications by Clerk of the Council Healy: <br />In opposition to Amendment Application: L.L. & Dianne Tasch, Greg & <br />Valerie Galbraith, John and Donna Lear, Daniel Sena, Joana de Sena, <br />Thomas M. Furman, Alvin C. & Ofelia Steinhoff, Peter Juan, and <br />Gregory N. Morse for First Church of the Nazarene <br />Gregory Morse, Mike Tardif, Winston Covington, and Donna Lear <br />spoke in opposition to the project; Larry Thrasher, and Pamela Sapeto, <br />representing the Moose Lodge, spoke in support of the project. <br />Council discussion ensued. Members asked staff questions relative to <br />hours of operation, traffic mitigation, parking requirements and <br />proposed zone changes. Councilmembers Franklin and Solorio <br />suggested that the neighborhood association and the Moose Lodge <br />engage in further discussions relative to mitigating neighborhood <br />concerns.
