417 <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Councilmember Franklin proposed two amendments to the ordinance. <br />His proposal included the addition of a new sentence to the end of <br />Municipal Code Section 41-607 (h), and the deletion of Section 7, which <br />requires the Executive Director of the Public Works Agency to change <br />the current permit parking district rules and procedures. <br />Motion: 1. Place ordinance, as amended by recommendations 2 and 3 <br />below, on first reading and authorize publication of title. <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-2457 - An ordinance of the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana adding Section 36-145.5 and amending <br />Sections 41-33, 41-192.2 and 41-670 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code relating to the parking of commercial vehicles in residential <br />districts - Planning and Building Agency <br />2. Add a new sentence to the end of section 41-607(h) as follows: <br />Nor shall this subsection (h) apply to any vehicle which is screened <br />by a fence or wall from visibility (at ground level) from the public <br />right-of-way so long as the vehicle does not violate subsections (1) <br />or (ii) of this subsection (h) <br />3.
