<br />" <br /> <br />'Ii <br /> <br />v <br /> <br />RFP 07-004 <br /> <br />The broadband network shall have a method to manage interference. The network shall <br />employ a protocol that supports full mobility for users at highway speeds up to 100 mph <br />and manage hand-off routing without need to re-authenticate. <br /> <br />The broadband network shall manage, analyze and react to the quality of the RF links <br />between network elements to ensure that no dropped connections are experienced. <br /> <br />The software shall be a Windows 2000 or Windows XP compatible product. It shall be <br />deployable on-site at any location to non licensed or previously configured compatible <br />hardware via a downloadable self extracting and self executable file. This file shall <br />include a time based license allowing the device to join the Ad Hoc Wireless network for <br />a period not to exceed 48 hours at which time the application becomes unusable. <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />Security: The network shall implement security measures at the application, data link <br /> <br /> <br />and device layers of the communication hierarchy to prevent unwanted intrusion into the <br /> <br /> <br />network. The provider shall describe the security measures included in their proposal. <br /> <br />3.3 <br /> <br />Interoperability: The wireless broadband network components shall employ "open <br /> <br /> <br />standard" Internet Protocol (IP) as the interface to all network elements and IP networks. <br /> <br />3.4 <br /> <br />Supported Services: The wireless broadband network shall support data, voice, instant <br />messaging (1M), mult~ user white boarding, live wireless video and the ability to drag <br />and drop file, video, images and documents via a single wireless system. <br /> <br />3.5 <br /> <br />Instant Messaging: Shall allow for real time or auto-saved for review at a later time. It <br />will allow for an Instant Message (1M) to all , preset groups or individuals on the mesh. It <br />will allow for the option of Text to Voice conversio n. It will display senders call signs <br />and time of message. It will provide an audible tone upon receipt ofIM. <br /> <br />3.6 <br /> <br />Whiteboard: Shall be real time.
