90.B. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />Linda Lee Grau, Amalia Aguilar, Deborah Bocchio, Brooke Stewart, Oscar <br />Garza, Florence Leach, and Bill Todd addressed Council with concerns <br />about the impacts of the proposed CenterLine rail project. <br /> <br />Neil Riekse addressed Council with concerns about traffic on 19th Street <br />in Floral Park. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Alvarez <br /> Asked the City Manager to reseamh the feasibility of providing <br /> "permits on-line" service to the business community to expedite the <br /> permitting process. <br /> <br />Councilmember Christy <br />· Noted that the Harris and Frank department store is on Mac, Arthur <br /> and Bristol advertise on television that the store is located in Costa <br /> Mesa not Santa Ana. She suggested that members of the public <br /> contact the store and remind them that they are located in Santa <br /> Ana <br />· Asked Cleve Williams, Executive Director, Parks, Recreation, and <br /> Community Services Agency to give the public and the Council an <br /> update on activities planned for the Youth Expo to be held March <br /> 18, 2001 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern McGuigan <br />· Noted that there was not a telephone number under the City's <br /> phone directory listings for the animal shelter, and asked staff to <br /> address this issue and identify ways to notify the community <br />· Congratulated George Alvarez, Engineering Services Manager, for <br /> being named "Top Leader of the Year" by the Southern California <br /> Chapter of the American Public Works Association <br />· Congratulated Councilmember Christy for receiving an award from <br /> her employer, Citibank, as an "Outstanding Employee in the <br /> Country" <br /> <br />Councilmember Bist <br />· Commented that staff was addressing the issue of notifying the <br /> public on how to contact the animal shelter <br />· Noted that the new monopalm constructed on South Main Street <br /> was particularly unsightly, and asked staff to investigate whether <br /> the monopalm had been built according to specifications <br /> <br />CiTY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />56 <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 5, 2001 <br /> <br /> <br />
