Without technology this would not be possible. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />90.A. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />The following spoke in opposition to .the consumption of alcohol in public <br />at restaurants with outside dining areas and the pending approval of CUP <br />95-11 by the Planning Zoning Administrator: <br /> <br />Oscar Igelsias <br />Soledad Rodriguez <br />Ramiro Cervantes <br />Gerry Balcazar <br />Rodolfo Santos <br /> <br />Sabina Jimenez <br />America Bracho <br />Priscilla Monserrate-Sanders <br />Laura Garcia <br /> <br />Tim Rush, Oscar Garcia, and Otto Bade spoke in support of the pending <br />conditional use permit for a restaurant on Fourth Street. <br /> <br />Erin Prangley opined that instead of spending $450,000 to attract <br />businesses to Santa Ana, the City should provide such loan money to <br />homegrown businesses. <br /> <br />Judy Edge expressed her opposition to having "light rail" in Santa Aha <br />whether it is on Bristol or Main Street. <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Christy <br />· Requested staff to come up with a five-year plan for arterials, traffic <br /> mitigation, and widening streets in conjunction with the City's efforts to <br /> attract and keep businesses. <br /> <br />Mayor Pre Tem McGui,qan <br />· Noted that the names of the new Councilmembers have not been <br /> included on some of Channel 3's banners and mastheads. <br /> <br />Councilmember Alvarez <br />· Noted that the City should look at its policies relative to award of <br /> contracts and that both Santa Aha businesses and residents should be <br /> supported, and should benefit from monetary commitments made by <br /> the City. <br />· Stated that she supported the agreement for the California-Mexico <br /> Trade Center but she expressed concern that there were no <br /> performance standards or check-points established.
