CHA <br />Maintenance Company for litter control and maintenance in the Downtown <br />for a two-year period with a provision for three one-year renewals. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Downtown area includes approximately 600 retail, service and <br />professional businesses. The comprehensive scope of services includes: <br />litter pickup and trashcan maintenance. Additional services include <br />painting; cleaning parking meters, light poles, bollards and outdoor <br />furni ture; sidewalk-blowing to assist street sweeping; and maintaining <br />high standards of cleanliness for alleys and bus stops. <br /> <br />A Request for Proposals was <br />proposals were solicited. <br />received is as follows: <br /> <br />advertised on April 25 and 26, 2007, <br />A summary of the proposals requested <br /> <br />and <br />and <br /> <br />10 Request for Proposals mailed <br />6 Request for Proposal mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />2 Proposals received <br />o Proposal received from a Santa Ana vendor <br /> <br />On May 7, 2007, two proposals were received. The proposals were <br />evaluated by a City team comprised of representatives from the Public <br />Works Agency and Community Development Agency using the following <br />criteria: organizational credentials, experience, work plan and <br />pricing.
