COMMENTS <br /> <br />Reported that there have been incidents where graffiti has not been <br />removed in a timely manner, and asked staffto look into this matter <br /> <br />Councilmember Solorio <br />· Asked residents to be patient with the trash strike, and announced <br /> that a letter from the City Manager has been sent to all residents <br /> listing guidelines as to what to do over the next few days in the <br /> event the strike continues <br />· Announced that October is Hispanic Heritage Month and that the <br /> Actores de Santa Ana group is presenting a bilingual play entitled <br /> "Hugs and Cheers" in commemoration of heroes of Mexico; the <br /> play will run from October 11-26, 2001 at the French Street Theatre <br /> <br />Councilmember Franklin <br />· Noted that since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, there <br /> have been many positive displays of patriotism in Santa Ana <br /> including the display of flags in yards and on cars in an expression <br /> of love of this Country. He asked that as an action step, the Public <br /> Safety Committee review a program implemented in the City of <br /> Huntington Beach entitled Community Emergency Response Team <br /> (CERT) designed to train citizens and community leaders to <br /> prepare and respond to local and national emergencies.
